4. Lancashire Heeler
This small breed has the head of a big dog with a dachshund frame. They have been used historically to drive cattle and drove. They can be good at driving away rodents and are wary of strangers. They are usually friendly to people they know and are a very alert breed. This breed has short legs in relation to it’s body and may be difficult to train. It’s important to train them not to nip at people’s heels. They do make good companion dogs for older people.
