# 3–French Bulldog
One of the most patient and kindest of breeds, French Bulldogs do well around babies and toddlers. Frenchies seem to have a special affinity for children and many will go out of their way to get near youngsters. Intelligent, but sometimes difficult to train, French Bulldogs are exceeding loyal and will defend the family, although they are not people-aggressive at all. Very susceptible to hot weather because of their short faces, French Bulldogs do not need much exercise at all and are content with a short walk and play. These are sturdy, muscular dogs with a heavy bone structure that aren’t afraid of more vigorous play with children. They can be very jealous of other dogs, however. Frenchies generally weigh between 18 and 27 pounds.
