3. Skip Walks
If you’re tired and get in the habit of only walking your dog once or twice per week, they will gain weight and become hyper. They need to get their energy out and play. Certain breeds need lots of daily exercise or they may begin acting out by barking, jumping on people and chewing furniture. Think of it as draining their daily energy so they don’t use it on something destructively. They will be much happier if they get walked at least twice per day. If you are injured and can’t walk them, you could bring them to a dog park that is fenced in. Keep in mind that they must be socialized if you bring them to a dog park or you could have big problems on your hands.
