4. Ignore Them When You’re Home
Some breeds are undoubtedly more independent than others but for the most part, the highlight of your dog’s day is when you come home. They are so excited to see you and play with you. If you are having a rough day and don’t acknowledge them they can feel rejected. They just want to be involved in your life like a best friend. If you have other things to do, try to let them be in the room with you. Your dog wants to feel like it’s a part of the family. It gives them a sense of purpose. Try not to lock them in the laundry room. A live animal is more important than a pristine living space.
